A broadcaster for the BBC's Inside Out programme smothered his ailing lover to spare him from "terrible pain".

Detectives are to launch an investigation after a BBC presenter told TV viewers that he carried out a mercy killing on a former lover who was suffering from Aids.

  • He made that story up. Have just read an interview with him after admitting it wasn't true. This geezer has issues.

  • @Fraud01

How could you know how "Swift"suffocation by use of a pillow is? and Why would he have the right to take the young man`s life? The man had family. as it is Gosling admitted to lying about it and was charged for wasting considerable police time. and we pay this scrotum

He was charged later that year with wasting polices time he lied about the killing. So there you go. The type of people we pay for at the BBC

  • I hope one day that if I'm ever this ill someone will love me enough to do the exact same thing...

  • @angelicMisha I don't know why he would lie about something like that but he did. He admitted it. It was all over the British press.

  • @sourjellybaby ahahahahaaha wtf

  • I believe he did do it.... and respect him for it. Its a hard choice, but its better to die swiftly and peacefully then live in constant pain and get no joy any more in life wishing you were dead. Support euthanasia! Let people die with dignity.

  • Ray, you're a brave man. Lucky for us YouTubers we can hear your story more readily via your media/production connections.

Doubt he'll ever read this. I wonder whether after his lover's death he'd corresponded with Michigan's euthanasia pioneer, Doctor John Kevorkian?
