BBC man Ray Gosling admits killing Aids-suffering lover

A broadcaster for the BBC's Inside Out programme smothered his ailing lover to spare him from "terrible pain".

Detectives are to launch an investigation after a BBC presenter told TV viewers that he carried out a mercy killing on a former lover who was suffering from Aids.

no one can know what this man has gone through, only if you've faced similar circumstances. And even then, how can a person blame another for stopping the suffering of someone he loved? Nothing is cut and dry. Nothing can be reduced to white and black when it involves circumstances of this nature. I hope Mr. Gosling can receive some mercy. It's obvious that he's been in a prison cell all these years stemming from his own conscience and humanity. Let him be.

He lied because he was broke, living in near poverty, and needed to reboot his career one way or another. In other words, he's a gutless puke who would try to earn a buck off of the true suffering of millions of people dying from AIDS and their loved ones by lying like this. I had a friend pass from AIDS. I didn't help him die, but it was a horrible, ugly, agonizing death. I also had a very good friend pass from cervical cancer. That was also an ugly, horrible, agonizing death. Shame on Ray!.

I believe he did do it.... and respect him for it. Its a hard choice, but its better to die swiftly and peacefully then live in constant pain and get no joy any more in life wishing you were dead. Support euthanasia! Let people die with dignity.
