IPTV Bravery of RLECs Karen Campagna Cisco ITEXPO East 2008

Video changes everything, as big as the shift of TDM to digital. Everyone wants all their devices in one. We want to be visually connected nowadays. First movers to the connected life for its customers are the Rural Local Exchange Carriers. They are conservative but often first to make new excitin changes such as IPTV. Fairpoint Technologies, an RLEC was in the audience at this presentation. The potential market does not have access to DSL or cable and satellite packages don't give them the flexibility and scalability of IPTV and definitely not at a competitive price. I met Karen on Facebook and highly respect her for her warm personality and wealth of information technology knowledge.
