The Siddis have adopted the Indian customs and language. When the idea to relocate to Africa was first mooted, the then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi encouraged them to stay on referring to them as part of the Indian family. Could the presence of the Siddis be the beginning of a wonderful phase of history? In the final part of this series "African Tribe in India" Citizen TV's Tom Mboya explores the possibility of the Siddis returning back to Africa.
It is very interesting to know about SIDDIs. THanks for posting this Video. I am an Indian settled in US from last 16 years and never knew about SIDDI. I respect the fact that they have African roots, but as an Indian they must have all the rights of an Indian. India has a lot of social issues from past that we are trying to amicably resolve and our goal should include these elements which statistically are on the fringe but nevertheless a very important group of large Indian diaspora. Love you.

@dinapoli123 Thirdly, skin colour is not dictated by anything except genetics. You can be fair and have a dark child if the grandparents were dark. Or you can be dark and have a fair child if someone else in the family was fair. There are "black" couples who have had white children and white couples with black children. Most of the time the skin colour is a mix of mom and dad but there are crazy exceptions. Just search for it on Google.

@dinapoli123 (Part two) ...this happened 1000's of years ago. Today, there is so much mixing in India, that no Indian can claim he or she is 100% Aryan, or Tamil or this, or that. Most of us Indians are mixed with African, European and Middle Eastern ancestry. In fact, South Indians have more African genes than most Indians and all it takes is a simple genetics test to find out. If you have African genes it simply means YOUR family has been around on the Indian subcontinent longer than most.

@dinapoli123 That is not entirely correct. In the Rigveda, Aryan is referred to one who sacrifice properly, to distinguish themselves from those who do not follow Vedic religion/thought. "Aryan" had more to do with one's behaviour, not where they came from. Science tells us that many people migrated from Central Asia and the middle East into India and the scriptures talk of these people, bringing certain plants, chariots into India as the Aryans. They first settled in the North however....

@wachaushenzi
To be aryan have nothing to do with skin color, Aryans is a north indian people, even 75 % of sri lanka is singhalese (indo-iranian) that means aryans . even if they are black skin they get white children if they mix with europeans. That is not the case if dravidians mix with white, they get "half breed" children
