  • Matt Molliday is one of the best at what he does. He and Albert Pujols, who many regard as the best player in baseball, are #1 and #2 in batting average since 2004 in the MLB. Holliday since 2006 is in the top 7 in almost every batting statistic. When you are that good, and you play professional sports, you get that much money.

  • LETS ALL DO ROIDS WITH THE MONEY

  • um... Matt Holliday, not Roy Halladay. Did you even watch the video before commenting? Also, Nolan Ryan was the first baseball player to receive a salary of a million dollars a year. Want to try for strike three?

  • big mistake for the Cards 'cause he is not CC Sabatia or Cliff Lee type. Nolan Ryan is a Hall of Famer & legend, but never got high paid check .

  • Yeah, what about doing it for the love of it. This amount is just down right outrageous (that's not even including endorsements). I understand people should be paid for their unique ability, but come on. The President of the U.S. doesn't even make close to that amount...the President! No wonder why all these young kids want to play Major/National.

  • You're such a fuckin' loser.

  • nice title lol
