@tigerpaw371 IMHO the American and European armies were like the weekend warriors in the Pacific. They had the training, but it wasn't as intense like the training Japanese got in their army when the war started in the early 1940s. Throughout the whole war the Japanese were still using the same weapons they had during the Manchurian campagin 1931. They relied mostly on their training and their wit. They had no mondern weapons like the Germans did in Europe that were coming out left and right.

Modern Russia is weak in its economy sector, weak in military and doesnt even have half the army of the former Red Army.
