him on the way back to base my mom called and told that hed shot himself...i will never let myself live it down because i let him down when i didnt call, i think about it everyday knowing that if id had called him it never would have happened.... i love you shayne i just hope you forgive me brother ill make sure your little boy is taken care of. RIP brother....

i can relate to this song in so many ways on Sept.6 the one year anniversary of losing a very close friend the day i left for Infantry school i lost my cousin when he killed himself we grew up together spent everyday together untill i joined the Marine Corps. about two weeks prior to his suicide i talked to him and he was having problems and i said id be in in two weeks and that id call him well myself and another marine came in and partied at the lake all weekend and i forgot to call

I was in this situation like the begining of the song. I was gonna take my life. I thought it would be right. Cause i was 14 and i had lost my parents and my aunt and uncle. Then my boyfriend for 2 years left me. I was hurt so bad thought that god just wanted to punish me for something i didnt know what i did. I was about to kill myself when i got a message from a friend saying his life was falling apart then i relized what my role in life was. I was suppose to help others through this and i do.
