The Cushion - ChiTroit (Fresh Meat)

The Cushion (Scott Brandon) is a dance music artist who works from Chicago. We know him from parties and mutual friends, but did not know his music until recently. Scott's music reflects his roots. He grew up near Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Chicago several years ago. Scott is one of those musician/DJ introverts who creates cerebral house that really works on the dance floor. Both tracks featured here are musical and have moving rhythm sections. Scott's relatively quiet years spent in the studio (he has a release on Spectral) and time spent DJing around the midwest have helped him develop a focused sound, reflected in the songs on this release. In an unfortunate turn of events, the unmixed audio for both tracks were lost.  As a result, Mazi's (Audio Soul Project) snappy edit uses whole sections from the original song.
