This is one of my all time favorites. I would watch an hour of him doing this

Chasing like this can be dangerous towards other shoppers but in some cases it's part of the job.
I don't know where this video is but I know in Vancouver,BC the person stealing can be arrested even if he leaves to go into the McDonalds by mall security unless the McDonalds is off property. However an LPO can leave property to arrest someone having stolen from the store in the mall he or she works for.

An accomplice helping out with a timely tripping would have been a nice climax. I used to do a variation on this by going into a store with only running shorts and T shirt. The alarm would trigger over some small purchase, but there was no way you were stealing anything except the tag, which is promptly hidden in the lining of your shopaholic GF's jacket.

I LOVE IT!!!

ROFL! I did this with a friend of my with a bottle of whiskey.
hahaha so f#cking funny, to bad we dind't got it on tape ^^

Doing the stuff that guy did wouldn't be so funny, if you happen to be in a country or US state where setting off a tag alarm is considered sufficient legal cause for a store employee to physically detain you (some places allow it, some don't). And if you resist and he gets hurt in the process, you could be looking at assault charges and a lawsuit. Not to mention, running around a shopping mall like a crazy ass poses a danger to the other shoppers, and they can come after you in court as well.
