give it up with the hate man, its for the good of america. so what if japan gets a couple cuts from our benefits, its gonna benefit us in the long run. chu's a freaking nobel winner, give him the credit he deserve.

@flatblackstrat you do know that by making it in the U.S. this will give our economy a boost back up.....maybe ur right about "some" of the money going to japan but its helping us not just them.

Good for your husband. But do I give a shit.... No! Your just another dumb house wife trying to talk about something she doesn't understand. Where do you think all that money comes from.....? Americans buying your cars and where... And where do the profits go? Back to japan. I don't really care what it has done for your area but the government has no right to give away American tax dollars to a foreign company. Get your facts straight.

Get your facts straight!! My husband has worked for the company for the past 25 years and is working on the Leaf/battery project. Many families in the Middle Tennessee area will benefit from this! The growth in our area is directly from dollars made at Nissan. It does stay in America, you jerk!!
What a waist. It doesnt matter if it's Nissan America, last time I checked Nissan in Japanese and that is where the money goes back to profit wise. Japan would not do the same for an american company. The U.S. government should never give loans to a foreign company. Banks on the other hand are another story, banks can lend to who ever they want. I Don't want the american tax payers giving money to the japanese.

It's a tough call. It seems like every state that wants to lure a foreign automaker to build a plant here gives some sort of concession. Nissan will release the highway-capable full-electric Leaf here in the United States this year. We need the jobs and production capacity here.
