@lindenxtree I'm a social work student. Statistics show that most of the time, abusers are male and pick on people that are vulnerable. Presently, I work with a nonprofit that works to fight this type of abuse. Most women getting abused are 16-25.

I am not unwilling to hear about the truth -- that 1 in 33 men are victims of abuse, either by other men or women. That said, what I am not willing to do is listen to someone spread misinformation in a public forum.

@jedipimp1972 As unfortunate as that is to hear, you raise a valid point. Nearly ALL these ads are gender specific. What's more, they make these volatile situations look completely one-sided. The majority of toxic relationships involve both parties feeding the fire, even if not equally. I've known more men than women who experience domestic violence, in the form of verbal, physical, sexual &/or financial abuse. Portraying women as helpless & weak doesn't help, it actually hurts the cause.
