  • Do you know when and where this was performed? Daryl's got the best voice in the business.

  • I'm insanely in love with this song. What especially resonates are the words "I want you to take this seriously but all you show is inhumanity" and "something that could be so good may never be"... don't you just hate when that happens, when you "can't turn your world around..." man, it just sucks the big kahuna when that happens.

  • Fantastic

  • @Heatshield THIS WAS ON THE JACK DEE SHOW. NOT SURE OF THE YEAR.

  • @Heatshield This appears to be circa 1993 and I'm guessing this gig was possibly in England also that the band are some of the personnel from the recording sessions for this disc (it looks like Alan Gorrie of AWB on Bass, but it's hard to tell from this video).

  • This version has a real nice groove, like Send Me also on Soul Alone, which is also a good live tune, like just about anything Daryl and John do. RIP T-Bone, we miss you. Thanks hmsdisraeli for putting this here.

  • Oh My GOD. What an incredible talent. Yes, the MASTER by any standard iS DARYL HALL. I am just rediscovering how wonderful Hall and Oates are. How can they be so good looking and talented and KNOW so much about LOVE? A true Philly fan in Venice CALIF. The best voice i the business and body language to boot.

  • This came from his incredible solo album ' Soul Alone ' . It was a true Rand B masterpiece that will stand the test of time. I am surprised it wasnt a bigger seller as it truly was the end of great music as we know it....unless the sad and pitiful garbage that they call music nowadays.

  • Love this song. It reminds me of a friend, that I couldn't grow with. I Thank you for posting it,anyway! I Enjoyed the music.

  • Robin Thicke: come & learn from the MASTER!
