The Mercury 430 "Bulldozer" as it was referred to, could be ordered with 365 hp, 375 hp or with 3 X 2bbl carbs putting out a cool 400 hp and almost 500 lb/ft of torque. No wonder he sent the SS packin'.

The 1958's had some mean cars, like this Mercury or even my dads 1958 Pontiac Bony.. it had a BAD Pontiac 370 V8 with TriPower, that thing was a sleeper!
