I test drove the Aston.... the auto box isn't reallly that slow... yes slower than a GTR or Ferrari dual clutch... but an Aston isn't really built for outright number-squashing statistical triumphs..... its built for Power, beauty and Soul... and in the categories of Beauty and Soul, I'm confident that the Aston would trump any car made today.
