FIshing in Alaska is legendary! If you have the time to come in early or stay late and do some river fishing or remote lodge fishing we highly suggest that you do it. You can also go fishing as a shore excursion from your Princess or Holland America ship but this will be pricier and oftem this kind of fihsing is catch and release.

We were using fake salmon eggs and fake salmon flesh. The salmon would eat the bait out of competition with the other fish. The trout we caught in between we hungry for the fish eggs and flesh.
