  • Would these pickups be too hot for blues?

  • @Bobby59

No, I think they are great for blues. They are more dynamic than humbuckers and don´t drive the amp too hard. They sound a bit like the Gibson P90s and you can get a really great crunch sound out of them.

  • Hi Robin,

Finally got to try one out at my local store, the scalloped board feels really natural when u get used to it and the tone is pure rock. Anyway long story short, my slash les Paul is for sale and I have reserved the Ritchie Strat! Will post a video when I get it

Great news Trevor, send me a PM when your video is done I will comment and rate it.

    Cheers,

  • Sounds great! Amazing playing! How is the scalloped fretboard compared to a normal fender neck?

  • @Spaceace2001

You have more control over the string compared to a normal fretboard. Some people love it some people hate it, you have to check it out it´s really a lot fun playing on a scalloped fretboard in my opinion.

    Cheers,

    Robin :o)

    It is a splendid guitar.

The tone is big, and it is the best tone.

I wanted Ritchie Blackmore Model, too. =D

I liked it more than the Malmsteen, fatter tone, I liked the fretboard and the neck better, the fretboard radius is more round and the neck has a D-profile.

Besides that the Malmsteen is an amazing guitar (it´s about what feels right to you).

    Cheers,

    Robin :o)

  • @RobinStrower

Charvel guitars are absolutely awesome, I love mine. If you like scalloped fretboards buy the Blackmore it´s an outstanding guitar and can handle typical Strat sounds (depending on the amp settings etc.).

Try before you buy and check if you like the fretboard, I can highly recommend the Blackmore.

    Cheers and all the best,

    Robin :o)
