This is my Uncle Harold a few years before he passed away. He is in the Bluegrass Hall of Fame, played with Loretta Lynn and George Jones and Tammy Wynette and others enjoy.

  • search for Harold Morrison in itunes and find his DECCA records release from 1965 entitled Hoss, He's The Boss which was re-released Aug 16 2011

  • I still have the record,, thanks for posting.

  • Harold passed away from a brain aneurysm years ago. He was one of the reasons I started playing guitar as a kid, always playing at family gatherings. He was a great banjo player. The bicycle wreck is a great song Harold used to do. When I can I am going to convert some of his music from LP to mp3 and I will let you know so you can hear it.

  • When I was a kid I always asked him to play the bicycle wreck at shows and as good uncles do Harold usually played it for me.

  • Harold remains one of my favorite entertainers. He brought joy to every audience with his honest style and talents. Thank you for posting this.

  • This is Priceless stuff... check my video response of Mr. Morrison performing with Jimmy Gateley on Jubilee USA. He was a national treasure.

  • Enjoy hearing Harold very much, when i get a chance to see reruns of the wilburn bro.s show. I need the words of a song he sings, called ,"$29 dollars for the whole she-bang" cash r check it don't make a dang...i can sing it if i have all the words, and i've got a friend that plays the bluegrass banjo...

  • I talked to you earlyier in the yr. about knowing Harold and EvaLou and my dad the one moved them to Tn. I got a turntable to download albums to computer. I think I may have 2 of his I know I have Hoss He's The Boss but think i have 1 of him and Karla

  • Harold was a great artist, he lived next door to my brother back in the early 60's in madison Tn. He would sit on his front stoop and play the bango and my brother would play the guitar. Great memories.

  • Just wondering who the man is wearing the glasses in the corner appearing at 2:46 in the video. He's also wearing a tobogan. He looks just like my Uncle Marion Neace, just wondering.

  • Many fond memories of Harold...I played for him (guitar and mandolin, and once in a while, bass) about two years, early eighties. What an education. RIP Harold.

  • I went to college in the Ozarks and new Harold when he worked at the Lowes Family Theater in Branson. He took me around to meet Roy Clark, Jerry Reed and others he knew. He taught me a lot about guitar and told the best stories. Sad to hear he was gone but time moves for all of us. Warmest Regards to his family. Hope you post more of his music.. Thanks
