what if the book isnt soliteral as people are saying.. maybe this is a metaphor for the pages of life kind of thinf thing.. that you grow, whether its good or bad, your demons an all that, all the way to death at the top.. which all looks bad.. but if you take it away like the mouse did to stop it again, there's nothing left. the pages stop

@FretsawOrion Maybe it's not only pointless but also terrifying. The more you know, the more insane you become due to the revelation of how cosmic and complex the universe is compared to a puny little human like you. That's why maybe it's better to try not to know everything and leave some blank pages there for the sake of yourself and others, because it's pointless to know so much only to be terrified instead of enlightened.
