Ahhh, my old monitoring post from 1989 to stand down. Many happy memories of exercises and post meetings. It was a nice little post, right out in the countryside although right next to the new M40! Glad to see it wasn't in too much of a state considering!! Hope to see it soon...
The underground ROC posts weren't built till the early 60s, around the time of the Cuba crisis, but most went out of commission in 1991. Some have been sealed a lot longer, but they certainly didn't exist in the second world war (not underground anyway)
looks intresting Simon, when was it last used apart from the graffiti artist that is
there must be lots of them around the country unopened since late 1945, iv`e seen a few on the canals its just mooring and its private, i hope you`r going to do a few boating videos this season, we just bought a Freeman 22 so i`ll do some vids for youtube from the Avon. Cheers mate

Also, it doesn't matter how remote they are, there is usually some sort of damage down there.
