Here is an outstanding performance featuring the last Movement Leonard Bernstein Serenade. With the American violinist Odin Rathnam and the Philadelphia Virtuosi. Conducted by Daniel Spalding. Cellist Daniel Pereira
I am honored to be under the direction of Mr. Daniel Spalding as a Co-Assistant Principal of the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and to be playing the Korngold Violin Concerto with Odin Rathnam as the soloist on January 30, 2011 at the George Mason University Center for the Arts
I am so impressed with Daniel Pereira for such strong chambermusic making in the opening cadenza. I went back and listened to several famous recordings, where Bernstein's expressive and timing markings were largely ignored. Bravo Daniel, for collaborating, rather than accompanying!
