  • Let me make this clear. This was a BYU student group, so inclusion was a main focus, even "white boy's" were allowed to participate. Don't rag on that fact that some guy was trying to learn a culture other than his own. Yeah, he wasn't the best dancer, but at least he was trying, better than most who wouldn't dare try, or even want to learn.

  • Actually it was not a war dance it was an act of defiance after Te Rauparaha escaped his pursuers. Ka mate ka mate - I die I die, ka ora ka ora - I live I live. If you are going to comment about this haka, then know what you are talking about.

    First, it is insulting

Second, its also insulting to laugh while a haka is being performed

Third, NZ rugby didnt start the haka, thats the most stoopid comment ive ever read and obv u dnt know our history

Fourth, we dnt have to be polly to know that u dnt wear a lava lava and do the haka

5th, If they have been doing it for ages its time for them to stop cause they aint never gona get it right

sixth, Come to nz and we will show u how better we can do it

    totally stepping on it

  • Yeahh! BYU<3

  • The most common haka, or challenge, performed by the All Blacks and many other New Zealand sports teams before international matches is "Ka Mate" - composed by Te Rauparaha to celebrate his escape from death in a battle in the early 19th century.

    [edit]

  • cool now go put some shirts on

  • da palangi is cute ;)

  • put some clothes on !

  • Polynesian folks need to quit flattering themselves saying white people want to act like them doing this. Really white boys just do it cause its a way to get crunk before a football game

  • @merlingirl35 Haka are not exclusively war dances, nor are they only performed by men Some are performed by women, mixed groups, children. Haka are performed for various reasons: for amusement, welcome to guests, or to acknowledge achievements or occasions. War haka were originally performed by warriors before a battle, in order to intimidate the opposition.

  • @merlingirl35 tino tika to korero
