A $3.00 thrift store guitar converted to a 5-string banjo. Tunes and plays exactly like a real banjo. I drilled and installed the geared 5th peg in the neck. Installed tiny screw in fretboard to align 5th string. Installed 4 single guitar tuners in the classical-style strip-tuner headstock. Re-cut slots in the nut. Took a real banjo bridge, cut off the 3 feet, and installed it in the saddle slot of the guitar.
