Flooberbloob, you are ABSOLUTELY correct...I can't think of anyone whose songwriting has been as consistently wonderful as Jules Shear, over the past 33 or so years. And it seems that practically every new album he puts out is better than the last...why does he languish in such relative obscurity? My guess is that mediocrity is the best ticket to the top 40...and Jules is by no means mediocre.
Thanks for posting! This song has been going through my head for over 20 years. I listened to the cassette of that album over and over--full of great songs, but this is my favorite.
This does bring back fond memories of the '80s. I played this album over and over along with Walkin on the Water. Tommy is great. Saw him this past Saturday at the Glenside pub playing acoustic. What a great time. Check him out most Saturday Nights.
Thanks a million for posting this!!! I have only ever found a partial of it in the past, and the sound quality was extremely poor. This is fantastic!!
