Gyro-stabilized camera mount

This has got to be the world's cheapest and simplest gyro-stabilized camera mount. I used a heading-hold gyro meant for RC helicopters and put it on a tilting aluminum camera mount I made. Total cost less than $100. Designed for aerial photography/mapping from a UAV, where it's important to get a straight-down image. Dasstrooper: Because of centrifugal forces in turns, you can't just let gravity do the stabilization. The camera will tend to swing out to the side.

I haven't built one of these nor do I have anything to do with this video ..... The most important word in the info section is CHEAP. with that in mind and the I say nice job on a budget build, to those who criticize it for the jerky motion.... Build your own and do it better yourself!
