Boss DS1 distortion pedal demo.

demo of my Boss DS1 distortion pedal. pretty standard pedal this. used by Kurt Cobain, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Mike Stern. loads of my friends have owned and used a DS1. i think Keeley does a mod for them, among other indie pedal modifiers. yeah, have a listen :)

@manyaksi ah sorry to hear that! lil night train sounds great from what i've heard of it though, but i guess they are different amps of course. hope you can get the tones you need!

Hey man, i took your advise and i bought it! i don't regret it at all. I takes anything i throw at it :)

It's just so versatile and i had my doubts playing it through a bass amp, buts it's great.

@themonster75 nice one dude! i'm glad you went ahead and got it. DS1 through a bass amp is a good tone :) hang fire on the DS2, i'll be doing a demo soon and explaining the differences ;)

@themonster75 hey thanks dude :) i would recommend this pedal based on the low price for what you get! as you can hear you can get a few cool sounds from it. i'm not sure what Dave Grohl uses pedals wise, but sure, for Nirvana and Pixies type tones it's got 'em :) i'll be demoing another pedal used by Kurt soon. The DS-2 Turbo Distortion, so keep a look out for that too, you might like it.

Hey man, great review.

I have a fender tele mex and play it through a laney 65 watt bass combo amp.

I love playing nirvana, foo fighters, pixies or anything grunge!!

Would you recommend it bearing in mind the circumstances?
