@mayito17tj They didn't touch anything...
Why don't you hold the criticism until your country's space agency gets out of diapers and starts sending up it's own manned missions to space and makes a significant contribution to space exploration.

"I am not gas station" "This is sophisticated laboratory"

okay seriously, in those 18 years did Lev poured alcohol in the air filtrations systems or something?
-
Lev is the man... 18 months alone is not forever alone!!! =D

I don't want to ruin the film but Lev has spent 18 months in zero gravity, he would be unable to stand let alone run, because of not using his legs for a year and a half. I hate knowing this fact because it ruins the scene for me.

@teamewell
Well, cosmonauts did lots of special physical exercises up to 2 hours a day, mainly treadmill and cycle ergometer...besides, don't forget that Lev was ready to fire his thrusters any time!
On a serious note though, 18 months would've been quite taxing for the body, no doubt about that..

@MrDickheadsman
Yep, the Russian record is 437.7 days...crazy huh?
Valeri Polyakov, launched 8 January 1994 (Soyuz TM-18), stayed at Mir for 437.7 days, during which he orbited the Earth about 7,075 times and traveled 300,765,000 km (186,887,000 mi), returning 22 March 1995 (Soyuz TM-20)
As an aside, it's funny of them to diss the Russian station for being 11 years old when US shuttles aren't that brand spanking new either xD

There was problems with Mir. They had inorbit fires on a rregular occurance. But Mir was a symbol of the Soviets. Even though they had broken up, people still thought of the Soviet connection and were used to critisising anything Soviet due to the past history

@Kingfordian22
The fire was caused by a faulty oxygen-generating (lithium perchlorate) cartridge.
The problem was traced to a piece of latex glove left there by an assembly line worker.
The cartridge got re-designed after the incident.
Read all about it here:

What's wrong with the Soviet 'past history' anyway to warrant 'criticism' of 'anything' by 'people' who 'were used'? Typical 1%-ish Tinseltown propaganda to brainwash other 99%!
