A rifle that has a safety that does not work. If you charge the rifle and place it in safe then touch the trigger. It will go off when you take it off safe. I have shown many new shooters this rifle as a training aid.

  • true that! a safety is mechanical, it can fail. Keeping your claw off the trigger and muzzle disipline is your true safety

  • @DobermansRock Yup, Perfect sense! I don't have a block safety on my Marlin 1894, and I think it is actually worth more without it. When I went hunting with a muzzle loader, I just use the half cock and left my finger of the trigger...works every time! Dig the fire extinguisher in the kitchen. I need to get mine mounted up too :-)
