true that! a safety is mechanical, it can fail. Keeping your claw off the trigger and muzzle disipline is your true safety

@DobermansRock Yup, Perfect sense! I don't have a block safety on my Marlin 1894, and I think it is actually worth more without it. When I went hunting with a muzzle loader, I just use the half cock and left my finger of the trigger...works every time! Dig the fire extinguisher in the kitchen. I need to get mine mounted up too :-)
