Obama is the first President to spend a trillion dollars on shovel-ready jobs and later admit there was no such thing as shovel-ready jobs.
Obama is the first President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters.
Obama is the first President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat.

Sure if your idea of 'work with them' is "You do what I say, or I lock you out and do it anyway". Obamas idea of 'compromise' funnily always bubbles down to "I get what I want right now, you get what you want later.... unless I decide to change my mind." and considering how quick he flips for convenience, his promises aren't worth the price of toilet paper to print them on.
