Interesting, about the speed discrepancy. I have just heard the track on a BBC show and it is faster and in Eb, here it is in B. Speeding up from 33 to 45 changes the key by a whole fourth, but B to Eb is only a major third.
This Roy Meriwether instrumental was originally released as a 45 rpm record--was it inadvertantly played back at a slower speed (like 33 rpm) before being uploaded? I ask because it doesn't sound right at all: it's in a lower key and the tempo is much slower than I remember it being. My mother played the record a LOT when I was a child, so I am VERY familiar with every little nuance of the this song. Trust me, something is definitely wrong here. Any explanation?
