Strength For Honor

Created for coloredwords' "Wordless Contest". When I decided to try my hand at a video without words, I searched my soundtracks for a good song before I even had an idea. I hit upon "Strength and Honor" from the Gladiator soundtrack, and remembered how I had used that title as an inspiration for a fanfic about General Glozelle from the Prince Caspian movie.

The story is simple: Glozelle works for the usurper, Miraz, but remembers the stories he used to read about the Golden Age, particularly of King Edmund. After learning that the Kings and Queens of old are helping Caspian, he realizes how Miraz fails to be the kind of King that Glozelle wished to serve. When Edmund delivers the challenge to Miraz, Glozelle throws his hand in against Miraz, but still fights in the final battle. It is only as he nearly kills Caspian that he realizes that he should be following *Caspian*. Aslan saves him (from his wounds and from himself) and Glozelle bravely offers to be the first to go through the Doorway in the Air to the island where the Telmarine were originally from.

Very nice- I've got to catch up on your videos. I felt so bad for Glozelle in the movie. This video just kinda reinforces that feeling. I love it a lot.

Oooh very well told friend! :) This is the first fanvid I've seen about Glozelle, and you definitely delivered! I like how you tuned into the sympathetic character he really is in the movie. It's sort of hard to notice on the surface as you're watching the movie because of all the other things going on. And sounds you wrote a good fanfic - this looks like a nice complimentary video to it. Oh and my fave thing about this video is how you gave the Pevensies those pretty glowing flashbacks! Hehe^_^

@AslansButterfly I really liked movie!Glozelle, and had already written him in two fanfics (Strength for Honor and Letting Go), so a vid was the next step. =D

The pretty glowing flashbacks are something I got from a WMM forum for effects add-ons, called Bloom Effects. I have to keep myself from using it over-much, since it's one of my fav effects.
