We put BMW's baby M Car into battle with the most potent mid-engined Porsche on sale. It's 1-series M Coupe v Cayman R, with Chris Harris

  • You rock Chris Harris! Not only do you communicate the fun, excitement and passion with your video presentations, but you somehow manage to do it in your editorials too. You are one of the most effective extant auto journalists. Congratulations. Keep it coming.

  • Fuck top gear and its over edited road tests and biased humor. This is a proper review.

  • I'm a big Porsche fan and the Cayman is my next buy. But I must admit, the 1-series bimmers are nice.

  • Chris Harris needs to be the premier auto journalist, as much as I like clarkson and tiff.. Brits may not have the best cars , but they have the most entertaining viewers.

  • scumbag cayman R, doesn't let you drive it too hard XD

  • @cfez22 Porsche wins, no argument indeed.

  • "Ohhh dear, another tire dies"...lol too funny!

    Chris Harris is the best....

  • Monkey Harris = sideways legend :)

  • @petrolhead229 it's the manufacturers that limit the cars, not the german government. if the german government limited the cars, then all the oder cars that are capable of driving faster than 155mph would also be limited, which is not the case.

  • @petrolhead229 It's not the government that restricts, it's the manufacturers that think their buyers can't properly drive a fast car do that.

  • Why all the hate. Bottom line is that both cars offer more or less identical performance and that's great, because it gives you a real choice.

What the CR adds, is the sporty feeling, which begins with the bucket seats, continues with the engine in your neck, completes it with the wonderful shift-, brake and clutch-feeling and ends with a sound what will make yourself and the passengers around you smile.

The sensation of a Porsche is the difference you pay for. The 1M is still a great car!
