The Catholic Church has faultered in the case of child abuse scandals but it has also taken corrective action. What the Church stands for is divine and all good; unfortunately, we humans, even those who are religious/priests, succumb to evil. That being said, many other non-catholic religions have the same issues, only the spotlight is on the Catholic Church. I am catholic and stand by the Church's precepts and teachings.
