I agree, it's bullshit that Hogan was made the winner. It should have been Ultimate Warrior. This was before the stipulation that the Royal Rumble winner goes to WrestleMania, but it is anticlimactic to have the world champion win this event.

This lead to the greatest wrestling match not involving Ric Flair ever, at Wrestlemania 6. I was thirteen and watched it on Closed Circuit at the Wheeling Civic Center. I pulled for Hogan, but wasn't surprised at the ending. It was epic. Jesse Ventura favored Hogan at Wrestlemania 6, saying "I do believe Hulkamania will live forever." Amazing. Semper Fi.
