  • replace the gas tank and a clean out the fuel lines.

  • @socalltd Ive done that since the vid was posted. She runs GREAT after she warms up. Still havnt had money to replace the master cylinder yet :(

  • looks real good now that you cleaned it up some ...you might want to spray some wd-40 on your hood hinges ..i noticed the hood doesnt shit rite ..give them a few squarts and work the hood back a forth a few times and you will be good to go ..good luck with it man...i hope it comes out real nice for you , but please..do not put big stupid wheels on it..ok....have fun

  • lol about the rims... I love my stock rims. It enhances the nostalgic feel of the car. I have the stock rims on my truck too. To me...most old car stock wheels look great so dont worry. Another classic is saved from the big rim craze. lol. (it already sucks gas at 5mpg...big rims would make it worse! lol)

  • good for you ...the wire wheels look nice on there just polish them up ..ford did have an optinal deep dish aluminum wheel for the fords and merc and lincoln's too ..so good...no big ugly ass wheels ...it will be nice when its done

  • Yeah I saw the deep dishes on another car online and they looked cool. But my wires match the wires on my moms "tank" an 84 delta 88. They look nice next to each other in the driveway. Got the gastank and I'm putting that in this week. It will be nice when shes done.

  • Nice song man Trampled Underfoot by the mighty Zep. Sweet car too

  • It's great you are saving this car. This generation of LTD was treated like a throwaway, and many are gone. 70's cars were new when I was a child, and the Fords, in my opinion, were the best. They are the last of the well built Detroit machines. Stock wheels all the way, man. Awesome!

  • @318Captain How much would a master cylinder cost for that car?

  • hey Capt'n, this is ian, we will be doin some serious projects if you're still in town this next year, you can bet on it. oh and tell me what you think about the el camino.

  • hey..sounds good...dont forget to put a new fuel filter on that car ...might as well get some new rubber gas hose to for the lines rite off the gas tank while your under the car ..and maybe change the oil in soon too..good luck
