Developer Beamdog is revamping the third person shooter from its original release over 10 years into high definition. It was available on Wiiware not too long ago and now will return to the PC in September.

If you never played the original MDK or MDK2, the story centers around 3 main characters, Kurt Hectic the janitor on the Jim Dandy who wears a special coil suit. Then there is smarty pants Dr. Hawkins who creates crazy gadgets, and finally Max, one of the Doctor's creation. Max is 6-legged gun toting dog that can wield 4 weapons simultaneously!

The team must reclaim Earth from an alien threat utilizing each characters special abilities. The collective of Bioware developers working on the game say that there will be a wide range of gameplay tweaks and reworked audio. Including many changes based on fan feedback. In fact, they are still accepting feedback at the Overhaul Facebook page.

You'll be able to play MDK2 HD on your PC exclusively from Beamdog.com for $14.99 starting sometime next month. Did you guys play the original game or the sequel? What did you think of it? i don't f*king understand it...game said to be released on September, but its already October and still there's no game available...is it just me living on the ceiling or its developers who forgot to release game? LOL

I played MDK2 on the PC back in 2000 and I liked how your hand wasn't held all the time, like alot of games do nowadays. But you got stuck pretty easily, to a point that it got annoying sometimes. Anyway I loved the soundtrack and enemy characters, but the humour not so much.

I loved MDK2 on the dreamcast, but damn was it hard.
