Glen Canyon Falls

Took a trip to the West Fork of the San Gabriel River to see the rarely visited Glen Canyon Falls. Its a 12.6 mile bike ride round trip with only .5 miles of hiking. The way back is all downhill.
Glen Canyon falls is pretty big but you cant get to the upper tiers safely. I tried going up the slope of scree on the right of the falls but it looked dangerous once I got up there. This place would be Awesome with the spring runoff.

@FrozenCarnitas That would be cool to see the whole thing. I wonder where you would drop down from. I see you do alot of technical canyoneering. I would like to learn these skills some day. There are tons of places around here you cant get to without ropes.

@losangelesswimmin Not in Glen Canyon but West Fork San Gabriel has some nice big pools. I dont know if there are jumping spots though.

@davidsquall351 One would start from up on Rincon Shortcut Road.

It's much more fun with ropes!

That is a beautiful waterfall! Looks like an awesome bike ride as well. I like the action sliding also - looks like a pretty far drop over the edge!

@PHARRAOH didnt notice this time I will look next time. Seems like a great fishing spot.
