true, how does deadmau5 know about this song in the first place? because of cygnus x's version!
-
I Wonder if he gave credit to the guys behind Cygnus X as well. They weren't the original creators, but I bet Deadmau5 just remix their version rather than made his own version of the funeral march

Earlier i said this was a sick ass remix. Now that I've listened to this song more than once I retract my statement... This is an OK remix at a sick party with an awesome crowd turnout.

I think if I had heard that when I went through my one year extacy honeymoon I would of probably died. Brought back a lot of feelings and memories. Thank you.

Yeah, you're all stupid. This song is about 316 years old. It was originally written by Henry Purcell for the funeral of Queen Mary II of England in 1694. Yes, it is true, Deadmau5 gave credit to Purcell in a Facebook posting a while back where he showed how his song "Clockwork" evolved from 1694 to 1971 when Wendy Carlos made a version for Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" on up to when he released his version of the song.

@CaterpillarKiller no need to call somebody stupid. heck, i bet 99% of the world did not know it was orginally made 316 years ago. i know i sure did not, but a lot of people do know it from a clockwork orange, so thats probably why deadmau5 named it clockwork. i like the name. and think his version is beyond amazing. he definitely did use the same punchline to it, but it really is a whole new song.
