Hmong instruments are very beautiful to hear, and in the hands of a skilled musician, can be as welcoming as its Western counterparts.

Agreed. It's the same stupid mentality that keeps Hmoob disunited and caused so many problems (ie. clans rivalry, dialect rivalry, religion, etc.). Most of the "Miao" are actually Hmong and if you listen closely, you can hear they speak almost the same. They even call themselves that. Only the Chinese call the Miao. Ethnically, they are the same, but because of the stupid mentality of "us vs. them" the Hmong have split into many groups and refuse to acknowledge kinship.

There is not difference between HMONG and MONG. They are all Hmoob. It is jus the English word for the two. It 's these little problems that causes Hmoob to be so crazily disunited. Over spelling, tones, accents. Wake up already....
