Then we need to remove the tail #'s from all the books on the U-2 and all the pictures floating around. The tail #'s are not classified.

@justforever96 chill out dude - you say that you only asked a question - but by claiming that, you're being intellectually dishonest - because inside of that question you placed a fact. You clearly made the proposition that the F-104 was replaced as a chase vehicle with a car. You're proposition was incorrect.

If you don't like getting called on such innacuracies - then don't make then in the first place.

@kbdkbd99 SO...what exactly is your problem? I asked a simple question. I never acted like I knew everything about the U-2. I was wrong about the F-104; it was a video of the X-15 landing that I was thinking of. So I don't see where you get this attitude like I'm trying to sound like an expert or something; I stated no facts. I asked a stupid question. I said that I had once read something about a U2 gear-up incident, which is true. If something interests me, I look it up. Is that okay with you?

The car contains a crew that assist the pilot through UHF, giving additional information relating to the landing. This has never been done with F-104's, and in fact it would be nonsense to do so as a ground based vehicle has a clearer view.

I don't know where you get your information from - maybe you "looked it up", just like you knew what the crash was all about but forget and have to look that up too.
