Laura Leighton as Sydney Andrews is one of the greatest characters in television history - her whipping off the bowler hat at the strip dive evokes everything that was fabulous about the character - she was game for anything and yet remained strangely innocent, like a gold cap amongst a mouthful of rotten teeth! Melrose is truly a misunderstood masterpiece.
