RALPH CHAPIN, HAZELNUT HARVEST, FILBERT HARVESTING IN OREGON, PART 3

PART 3 is a video of the nut harvester owned my father Ralph Chapin of Perrydale, Oregon. The tractor pulled harvestor picks up the row of nuts made by the sweeper and blows the leaves, debris, and blank nuts out the side. The nuts are conveyed into the nut cart made my dad. At the end of most rows, the nut cart is emptied into boxes that go to the processing plant. He also made wheel sweeps in front of the tractor so that nuts that get out of place do not get crushed. Each nut is worth something, and it all adds up.
