"Thong and Dance" ("Thong Song" + "I Could Have Danced All Night" Mash-Up)

This is a mash-up of Sisqo's "Thong Song" and "I Could Have Danced All Night" from the musical My Fair Lady. But why create such an abhorrent monstrosity, you ask?

Well, there's this show called Glee; and in one episode one of the characters is asked to create a mash-up between these two songs for the wedding of two other characters. After some time, he reports that he can't do it, the songs are just too different, not meant to go together. So, I thought it'd be fun to take a crack at it myself and, with a bit of luck, show that it can in fact be done.

(P.S., I do realize that it is important to that particular episode's plot that he was unsuccessful, and surely Glee's on-staff arrangers (or, let's say, the character Will himself) could have done this after all. But oh well.)

(I also realized, after having created this, that other mash-up artists had the same idea of bringing this mash-up to life, so I make no claims about being the first to do this, or the first to do it successfully.)

(As you can see, I brought a little of an older rendition into this mash-up, instead of just using Glee's version exclusively. That's mainly because Glee didn't seem to provide enough "extra material" to work with, so I drew here and there from the Marni Nixon.)

@advance512 Hmm, not exactly, I did use some artificial pitch-shifting, but it wasn't Auto-Tune per se. (Kind of similar, but I think my program uses a different algorithm than Auto-Tune, and the interface is different.)

With luck and tenacity! And some reasonably clever poking and fiddling with audio.

(Also through finding the separate instrumental and a cappella tracks for The Thong Song. Would have been easier/better having the equivalents for "I Could Have Danced All Night" available instead of just the fully mixed "master"s, but c'est la vie).
