On Friday, July 30, 2010, Congressman John Hall spoke on the House floor about the need to hold BP accountable for the oil spill in the Gulf. Rep. Hall spoke about H.R. 3534, the Consolidated Land, Energy and Aquatic Resources Act. Rep. Hall also mentioned that he introduced legislation to require oil companies to use state of the art technology when drilling to prevent future blowouts.
