Thank you for sharing your son's progress. He is really so sweet & determined. I'd like to suggest you take a look at a South African product called the Happy Strap which is of great benefit to all infants & children who have hypotonia. My son Jens who is now 7 has Down syndrome & hypotonia. The Happy Strap was originally designed for him to counter the effects of hypotonia & to increase his mobility through stability. Please type in Happy Strap to view videos. All the best, Janet

What a cute kid! My son looks very simular to yours, and has hypotonia too. So glad to hear Jax is getting stronger, my Gabriel is in PT too. Does your son have a diagnosis or have your done testing, just wondering cause they havent really come up with anything for my son and hes had alot of test done, Thanks Erin

Such a beautiful son. I really am touched of his accomplishments! My daughter has hypotonia and she is two years old but no where close to your sons accomplishments. God grants many gifts. I would love if you could give me some therapy pointers, she really has no trunk control. Thank you and God Bless your family.

Good for him!!!! hes a cutie!!
Thx so much! yes we've had tons of testing done..and nothing has come back except both of my son's are being treated for NF1 and that can cause hypotonia so I'm thinking maybe thats where it came from...I thought you can only poke so much at my baby and then I was done with the testing...Good luck with your son!

@faviram...also a very great way to build up strenghth is have your daughter lay flat on the floor and then you pull her up (as your sitting down) with her arms and teach her to pull or keep her head up with her shoulders..I hope that made sense...lol..Jax also had a band belt to help him w trunk control..but he had GERD so bad that he couldnt wear it to long cause it made him puke more :( if you have any questions feel free to ask :) Good luck with your daughter!

@faviram...Thx so much we are very proud of him...he has come way farther faster then they thought he would!! Which amazes me!! He was a very hard headed and hated therapy but it all paid off!! He still needs helps with some things and is weaker than most 2yr olds but I'm not worried :) ......as for therapy pointers in trunk control I would say tons of tummy time...Jax couldnt hold his head up properly til he was over 9 months old..

Just a update Jax is 2 today and doing great! He still goes to pt every week, he still has to work on his feet, balance with his ankles, and some things with his arms. But he's up and moving fast! He likes to gallop around and he says he's jumping :) Hard work paid off for him!
