Two young women -- one an Orthodox Jew, the other Muslim -- meet and become friends as first-year teachers at a public school in Brooklyn. Over the course of the year they learn they share much in common, not least of which is that they are both going through arranged marriages.

i'm muslim and i have jewish friends, muslims and jews have always been friends. the muslim prophet muhammad (pbuh) married a jewish lady. i can't wait to watch this film

This is such a beautiful movie; many wonderful themes, and great acting. I really enjoyed it.

Parts of the movie are cute, but I think the representation of people who are not religious is ridiculous.
I'm completely unreligious, but I respect people's religion unless they try to proselytize. The character of the principal is a joke - and it's not like people who are not very religious have sex, and drugs, and rock'n'roll all the time (I wish there were more sometimes, but hey).
