My First Love - A Jemi Story Episode 3 (Memory Lane)

Joes P.O.V
I started at the door with my mouth open in shock for at least 5 whole minutes. I cant believe it. Her parents had this company than when they moved they sold it to George. Why are they back? Do they think I left? I bet theyll fire me if they see me. Great. I cant even look at Demi right now. After everything, after trying so hard to get over her, now she comes back. She must still think of me, she has the anklet I gave her on our month anniversary around her ankle still. Would she recognize me? Of course she would. I didnt know what to do. I cant stay here and do work. Shell be coming back in a little while she said. I stood up and put on my coat, walking out the door.
Chelsea: *Walks up to him.* Where are you going?
Joe: *Looking down.* I uh have to go somewhere.
Chelsea: You cant just leave.
Joe: Ill be back tomorrow I just--
Demi: *Turning the corner, holding her coffee.*
Joe: *Bumps into her, accidentally making it spill all over her shirt.*
Demi: *Gasps, looking down at her shirt.*
Joe: *Eyes widen.*O-oh, oh Im so sorry!
Demi; *Groans and grabs a napkin. Starts wiping off her shirt. Mumbling.* Great, just great, my new blouse and *Mumbling gets lower.*
Joe: *Knows shes gonna look up when shes done. Fast.* Well bye. *Runs out of the building.*
Demi: *Looks at him running out.* Well that was rude.
Chelsea: That was weird, he just ran out.
Demi: Who was that?
Chelsea: His names Joe, hes the VP for this section.
Demi: *Feels sudden sadness when she hears the name Joe, doesnt think its him though.* Oh.
Chelsea: Im Chelsea can I get you anything?
Demi: No, Im good. Ill just talk to him tomorrow.
Chelsea: Alright. *Goes back to her desk.*

~Later that afternoon.
Demis P.O.V (Walking around town.)
I cant believe Im back in this town again. I lived her pretty much my whole life though, even through the past 5 years felt like forever. I feel so much older now. No longer am I walking to school with books but now Im walking into work with a brief case. I still feel the same though. I never wanted to come back here. Every where I look theres some memories of me and Joe. The jokes hed say to me to make me giggle on the way to school, the places hed kiss me in secret so no one would ever find out. I sighed. I wonder if he still lives here. He probably has beautiful girlfriend, maybe married. I looked at my bare left ring finger. I know Im still young but 3 of my friends from school are already married, I dont even have a boyfriend. It doesnt matter though, I dont want one right now. What if I bump into Joe when Im here? Would he recognize me? Of course he would. Would he hate me for leaving without a goodbye? I sighed. Of course he would.

Joes P.O.V
I was laying on my bed for the rest of the day staring at my closet. I knew what I had in there. My old photo album of me and Demi. I havent touch it since I brought it here since I moved, yet I didnt even open it then. I couldnt take it, I got up and took it off the top shelf of my closet. I wiped the dust off it and sat back on my bed. I slowly opened it to the first page and saw a picture of me and Demi kissing. It had Joe and Demis photo album written under it. Why am I doing this to myself? I turned the page. It was a picture of Demi on my back, and me taking a picture of us with my one hand. God I love her. I shut the photo album, I cant look anymore. Seeing those pictures will probably make me cry. I cant cry, Im a man. I sighed, some man.

~The next day

Joes P.O.V
I walked into the office and looked around with my head slightly down. I still dont want Demi to recognize me. I cant even imagine her reaction. I didnt see her which was a good sign. Who am I kidding? Of course I want to see her. I want to hold her in my arms again and kiss her, and never let go. But the reason I didnt want to see her is because I know I cant do that. I walked to the back and into my office. I looked up once I got inside and looked at my desk. Demi was sitting on the corner of my desk with one leg crossed over the other. She looked up from the clip board she was reading when she heard the door open. Thats when her eyes met mine for the first time since I saw them crying in the front seat of her dads car.
