I was surprised that I could get into that position. Before I even heard the part about opening up the upper shoulders and strengthening the arms, I noticed the stiffness in my shoulders. I assumed that the purpose of the exercise was to engage the back and/or abs mostly. Another question that came up, about hand position, was answered by the video.
