@2prissyful Wow! what is going on? First we get hit with the passing of Etta, now, Whitney. I rate "I will always love you" right up there with "My dearest darling". I remember the first former as a teeneager in Mexico, the latter not at 61. I wonder if I'll be remembering this later one 20 or 30 years from now. I'll be happy with 20 but only time and God will tell. In the mean time I agree with you, these songs hit the spot, right on the heart of memories!

@Gcelptx29 I am Mexican, my father loved blues I was 4 when I listened to this song for the first time and it stayed with me. Now I am 38 and i loved this song more than ever and now I understand what it says . Now the angels get to hear that extraordinary voice.

Etta, I barely a teenager in Mexico, had not know the language yet, but I did not need it, this song just brings backs so many memories of my youth, you are one of a kind. Rest in Peace, what a song. Thank you.
