omg she is so adorable! the pic at the end when she's next to her beautiful painting is a pic to treasure!

some doctors have no idea! because my parents were told to wait it out... i'm now 24 in the hospital after getting it cut off and a skin graft over the wound. Hopefully it works otherwise i have no idea what to do next!!

Thank you for sharing. In our experience most doctors don't know much about hemangiomas, especially family practicioners. You really have to find a specialist. Best of luck with your surgery and recovery.

My son was also born with a vascular hemangioma on the crease of his neck, near his spine. It was a very scary experience to be told (wrongfully) that my son's brain would be affected by unknowledgeable hospital staff. I dealt with this for 2 full days until a specialist arrived and diagnosed him. I wish that there was more knowledge and education of birthmarks like this. Your daughter and her story are beautiful.
