2009 Corolla Traction and Stability Control

The 2009 Corolla also offers the available traction and performance of enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC). Standard on XRS and available on all other grades, VSC + TRAC help the driver maintain a higher level of control when driving conditions are less than optimal. The system includes a VSC OFF switch.

Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)
If a vehicle is experiencing wheel slip, VSC can
reduce engine power and individually apply brakes to help bring the vehicle under control.

Nice when it works. My traction control sensor just went out, no cruise and all the anti-skid, VSC and check engine dash lights are on. It is not covered by the Toyota warranty and they broke it trying to remove it so now they he have to take my engine apart with only 35K on it to replace the sensor.

it's nice that humans have the ability to sprout devices such as these... the problem is, some people become far too dependent on technology and dumb down...
