We surprised Janet Jackson with a Flash Mob at the Grove in Los Angeles, Ca.

A Bit about Janet Jackson:

In 1991 Janet Jackson signed her multi million dollar record deal with Virgin Records. Making her one the most sought out performers of the decade. Her Debut album was Janet (1993), revealed a new and sensual side of Janet Jackson, not yet seen in the public eye. That same year, she appeared in her first starring film role in Poetic Justice. Throughout the years she has had a very successful TV and Film Career. By the end of the 1990s, she was named the second most successful recording artist of the decade. Some of janet Jackson's more well known hits include singles such as "Nasty", "Rhythm Nation", "That's the Way Love Goes", "Together Again" and "All for You" among her most iconic.

She has sold over 100 million records world-wide which has made her one of the top selling contemporary recording artists. In 2008, Billboard magazine released its list of the Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists, Janet ranked at number seven.

In 2010, the magazine announced the "Top 50 R&B / Hip-Hop Artists of the Past 25 Years", ranking her at number five.

She like her Brother Michael Jackson is one of the most inspirational artists of our time. Flash Mob America would like to give thanks to her ability to move the public through music and love.

We learned the dance in very small groups and came together thereafter. Groups of us got together at various parks around town to learn the steps and rehearse. What you see in the video is when we ALL got together that day. Some learned the basics from the Youtube rehearsal video, then came to rehearse. I found out about it via word of mouth. A friend thought it would be a nice thing for me to do. Others found out through Twitter and Facebook. Hope you can join us next time. :-)
